1.Discuss the statement, “If God has turned on the water in our lives, filling us with his life-giving springs, why would we hold them back from anyone?”

2.How should we be more like a soaker hose in our serving?

4. What does one look like that serves as a way of life?

5. Read and discuss the story from Mark 10:35-45

6. Nathan centered focus around verse 43, “…but it shall not be so among you”. What is this verse referring to? Describe what Jesus means here.

7. Nathan outlined three general areas that could impede our serving: our time, our plans and our concern. Can you think of any others?

8. Do you struggle with addressing and fulfilling service opportunities when you are busy or the timing is bad? Why is that?

9. How do we become more flexible and agile with our time?

10. Read and discuss the situation in Luke 5:1-11.

15. Talk about the story of Rufus Kidd that Nathan shared. Do you know of others that have done the same as Rufus? Have you ever?

21. How can you change your behaviors in the areas of time, priorities and concern to become more like the soaker hose, giving out Christ’s love?
