Healthy - Living the Simple Life

Two passages of Scripture that describe the expectations of fully devoted followers of Christ are Matthew 22:34-40 and Matthew 28:18-20.

What keeps us from fulfilling those expectations?

Ecclesiastes 7:29 states, “God made every man simple; man’s complex problems are of his own devising.”

Discuss the reasons why this verse is true.

Jim made the following statement in the sermon. “We must realize that simplicity is counter-cultural to the American way of life. The modern hero is the poor boy who purposefully becomes rich rather than the rich boy who voluntarily becomes poor.
