Today’s message is about “Knowledge.”
•2 Peter 1:5 says we should add to our “knowledge.”
Proverbs 1:7 — “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.”
•Gaining true and eternal “knowledge” begins with having a proper understanding of the awesome nature of God.
•The rest of the verse reads: “…but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” (ie., some people don’t want God telling them what to do).
Knowledge is a much repeated word in the Bible.
•It occurs 1490 times
There are two major usages of “knowledge” in the Bible that Byron emphasizes:
•Knowledge of the Lord (God; Jesus)
•Knowledge of the Word (Will; Truth)
