John 3:22-30

1. The Transition

•John prepares the way; Jesus fulfills it.

•We are seeing the ministry change from prophet to the one who was prophesied.

•Ministry is never about us, but about pointing to Christ.

2. The Mindset Problem

•John’s disciples struggles when seeing people all going to Jesus instead of them

•We must lift our eyes beyond “me” or “my church” to God’s bigger kingdom.

3. The Marks of a Useful Christian

•Humility – All we have comes from God. (verse 27)

•Identity – We are not the Savior, but servants. (verse 28)

•Joy – Rejoicing when Jesus is honored. (verse 29)

•Christ-Centered – More of Him, less of me. (verse 30)
